Cargo surveys and operational control

INS attends before, during and after cargo operations to document condition, quantity, quality, packaging, handling and any loss or damage.

Cargoes and operations

• Dry, reefer, tank, flat rack and open-top containers
• Stuffing, unstuffing, re-stuffing, tally and quantity/quality control
• Bagged cargo: rice, flour, cement, chemicals and other packaged goods
• Bulk cargo: wheat, sugar, ore, manganese, cement, cereals, fertiliser, sorghum and malt
• General cargo, drums, pipes, big bags, oilfield equipment and project cargo
• Liquid, petroleum and chemical cargoes
• Refrigerated cargo in holds or containers
• Securing and lashing verification
• Pre-shipment and pre/post-handling surveys
• Supervision of cargo destruction when required

Deliverables

Findings, photographs, measurements, damage quantification, operational chronology and a survey report aligned with the agreed scope.
